Mission

Our mission is to connect people to the past and to the place they live by collecting, preserving, and exhibiting the material history of Signal Hill. Through our programs and services, we help develop an inclusive community narrative that gives residents a greater understanding of their role in the story of their neighborhood and their city.

About Us

The Signal Hill Historical Society is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 1983 and has been actively gathering photos and artifacts to save for future generations.

We are currently trying to raise funds in an effort to digitize and catalog many of the older photos for future generations to enjoy. One of our newest missions is to begin a process of making historical video and oral histories of our long time residents, city officials, and the many companies that help support our city.

Meetings are the Third Thursday of each month at the Signal Hill Library at 6:30 pm. Come join us as we have fun Preserving the Past for Tomorrows Future.
